Last night my band had the absolute honour of playing Brixton Academy with Limp Bizkit. It was a big moment for us as a band, the biggest show we’ve ever played and it went really well. I had a really surreal but totally normal, comfortable conversation with Wes Borland, he’s genuinely a real nice bloke. The whole evening was pretty surreal, still sinking in that we played Brixton. The stage was bigger than most venues we play normally!

Woah. Got a couple of awesome shows to announce, then DOWNLOAD!

After two and a half years, three EPs, fifteen songs recorded, three European tours, and one hundred and fourteen shows, I (Tal) have left Goodtime Boys. My last show was on April 2nd in Tunbridge Wells.

I reviewed it for The 405 a week or so ago. Here are some words what I said about it:

“Still essentially sticking within the framework of chaotic metal-tinted hardcore that they have previously experimented with, Nothing Beyond Everything After pushes their sound to the next level by means of development and extension. Having always played with a scathing force similar to Converge, Botch and Daughters (some weighty names to hold a torch to), Pariso combine elements of power-violence, black metal and hard-hitting, fast-paced dissonant hardcore to create something uncompromisingly crushing. If it were ever acceptable to sincerely the words “brutal” and “punishing” to describe music then they would be totally fitting here, somewhere between the deluge of blast beats, The Red Chord style riffs and odd discernible nods to Slayer.” (full review here)

I got bored of my iPod this morning, so switched to the Radio. I then got even more bored even quicker by the high amount of pussy shite on there.

I then remembered that Pariso’s newest release was due today, so after a quick visit to iTunes I had this to listen to.

I immediately felt like I’d been kicked in the balls, by like, a knife or summat. But only in the ears, y’know?

Basically it’s heavy and fast and ‘br00t4l’ as you should expect, but all the songs last over 20 seconds, this future Pariso is madness!

There’s something about this record that makes me love it. Maybe it’s because it’s the first 10” record I’ve purchased, maybe it’s because the Clear Sky Blue colourway is gorgeous, maybe it’s because the design and packaging is to an amazing standard, maybe it’s because every track on the record has me screaming along.
